Brian grew up in Northern Kentucky, across the Ohio River from Cincinnati. He spent most of his youth playing various sports, but eventually committed to football. His team won multiple state championships and was a USA Today Top 25 program. Brian embraced the core values required to reach peak performance in sport, such as, accountability, competitiveness, and teamwork.  His commitment to these principles earned him the title of Team Captain. Coach’s words still resonate today, “If you’re not 5 minutes early, you’re late.” Brian held high standards on the field and off, continuing to play Ivy League football at Cornell University where he majored in Business Management.

Brian began his career at Cintas Corporate offices in Cincinnati, OH. This experience offered a crash course in efficient and effective operations, strategy, and data application.  He then took on the responsibility of running a local Large Format Printing company where his knowledge of paper and paper grades expanded, eventually leading him into the recycling industry.

Brian worked for a national industry leading recycling broker for 13 years, holding a variety of roles from sales to the outbound marketing of traditional commodities nationwide. Brian has collaborated with a vast network of end use outlets, exporters, regional recyclers, and mills to move paper, cardboard, plastics, metals, pallets, and drums nationwide.

Brian currently resides in his Northern Kentucky hometown with wife Holly, two young children and their two dogs. The family enjoys spending time on the water, traveling, and continually looking for the best restaurants in the greater Cincinnati area. When Brian isn’t chasing toddlers or animals, he is committed to giving back to his community through the programs that shaped him by volunteering as a middle school football coach and serving on the Youth Football Board.
John got his “unofficial” start in recycling by sweeping and sorting steel chips and aluminum turnings in his grandparents machine shop at the age of 10. Throughout his childhood, John played youth hockey where he learned accountability and how to be a good teammate. After High School, John played Junior hockey which earned him a spot at Robert Morris University, Illinois, to continue his education and play the sport that he loves.  John Studied Business Administration and was a member of the Men’s Hockey Team while at RMU.

After college, John got his official start in the waste and recycling business by working for a small Waste Consulting Firm where he had the privilege of wearing many hats. He has experience in Operations, Plant Management, Logistics, Material Processing and Account Management.  From that position, he learned that he had a passion for Business Development. His career took a path that had him specializing in growing facilities, departments, and territories with a “relationship-focused” approach. John has a total of 9 years of experience in the Waste / Recycling Industry where he specializes in supplier and customer relationships both in the United States and abroad. John has enjoyed his time in the recycling industry and has a passion for it. He loves the fast-paced environment, exposure to global markets, collection, and supply chain solutions and most of all, the people in the business.

John, his wife Cathleen, and his Daughter Olive reside in the suburbs of Saint Louis, Missouri. John is a Saint Louis sports fan, an avid golfer and still gets out there and plays hockey when he has the chance. John and Cathleen enjoy trying new restaurants in the Saint Louis Area and spend time with their family as often as possible. When life allows, they love visiting Florida for golfing and beach trips.
